Expressions of Interest are now open for those seeking to be a member of our 2026 Umpire Panel.
Please share how you see yourself contributing as a member of the Umpire Panel, including your availability and involvement in coaching, carnivals, and umpire development throughout the season.
Main Duties of PDNA Umpire Panel Members
As a member of the PDNA Umpire Panel, you will be expected to undertake duties including, but not limited to:
Coach, mentor, and develop umpires across all levels, helping them improve their skills and progress through the badge system.
Be available for at least 2 Senior timeslots during the PDNA Winter Competition.
Attend at least 2–3 Representative Carnivals during the year, which generally take place on Sundays.
Be available to assist pre-season with umpire allocations for draw release and planning purposes.
Be available to attend umpiring development sessions.
Attend pre-season Umpire Convenors Meetings to contribute to planning and development strategies.
Conduct yourself professionally as a representative of PDNA at all times.
Identify and support emerging umpire talent, assisting in their development and recognition.
Participate in umpire assessments and testing in line with Netball Australia and PDNA guidelines.
Participate and support the Twilight/Night Competition.
Assist in managing or addressing umpire complaints or disputes if or as required.
Support the review and updating of umpire procedures, badging requirements, and relevant By-Laws, helping ensure PDNA processes remain current and effective.
Undertake other duties as directed by the Executive Committee or Umpire Convenors to support umpiring and panel functions.
